United Way – Common Good Forecaster

United Way, working with the American Human Development Project, wanted to illustrate how levels national, state, and local community educational levels relates to social and economic indicators like incarceration, income, and life expectancy.

Krate developed a rich Flash application to calculate these relationships and present them in easily understandable ways. Using the custom web-based tool, users can drill down to the state or county level, select an education bracket, then explore its impact on health, incarceration, obesity, voting, and earnings. The final app received praise on Huffington Post and CNBC.
